Zelenskyy thanks Greece for support, urges global unity to end Russia’s war
'Global unity succeeded in that (Middle East) region, and now everything must be done to end Russia’s war against Ukraine,' says Ukrainian president

ISTANBUL
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Wednesday that global unity, which helped achieve peace in the Middle East, should now be directed toward ending the Russia-Ukraine war.
Zelenskyy said he spoke with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who had just returned from Monday's peace summit in Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh.
“Global unity succeeded in that region, and now everything must be done to end Russia’s war against Ukraine -- this war remains the greatest source of global instability and danger today,” he said on Telegram.
“Peace is possible through strength, and in the case of Russia’s aggression, it must be forced to stop the war,” he added.
The Ukrainian president said he informed Mitsotakis about recent strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and stressed Kyiv’s efforts to bolster its air defense before winter.
“Greece can truly help save lives, and I am grateful for that,” he said.
