Stroke is a preventable medical condition that can be avoided with maintaining an ideal weight, consuming healthy foods, leading an active life, and avoiding harmful habits such as smoking and alcohol, said a Turkish medical company.
Stroke, which is called the loss of neurological function that occurs as a result of the inability to feed the brain vessels when the blood flow to a part of the brain is reduced or interrupted, is among the preventable diseases, INVAMED said in a statement.
When a stroke occurs, brain cells begin to die within minutes, and the dead brain cells cannot be regenerated. For this reason, emergency intervention is of vital importance for this disease, which can be prevented in the early period, it added.
Developed by INVAMED R&D, the KinG vascular revascularization device offers an innovative technology for rapid endovascular treatment and provides effective and successful clinical results, said the company.
The KinG vascular revascularization device, which clears thrombus (blood clots) that causes obstruction, improves blood flow and rejuvenates neurological tissue, is designed to restore blood flow in patients who have had an ischemic stroke due to large intracranial vascular occlusion, it added.
