European surface air temperature anomaly
Amid exceptionally hot conditions in Europe, the average surface air temperature in July reached 20.49°C, 0.66°C above the 1991–2020 average. Although July 2026 was the 11th-warmest July on record across Europe, markedly different weather conditions prevailed in Western Europe.Ertugrul Gazi Celik
