Palestinian health authorities confirmed 13 fatalities from the coronavirus pandemic on Saturday along with 427 infections within the past 24 hours.

Health Minister Mai al-Kaila said in her daily virus update that 143 infections and 9 deaths were recorded in the West Bank while 284 cases and 4 fatalities were registered in the Gaza Strip.

She noted that the recovery percentage in Palestine reached 91.6%, the percentage of active cases 7.3% and the deaths' percentage 1.1% of the total infections.

Al-Kaila added that 87 patients are receiving health care in the intensive care units, including 21 depending on respirators.

The new figures bring the Palestinian virus count to 170,637 confirmed cases, including 1,861 deaths, and 156,267 recoveries.
