Sudanese graduated from Turkey set up alumni body

KHARTOUM, Sudan

The Sudanese, who graduated from universities in Turkey, set up an alumni association in capital Hartum on Monday.

Turkey's National Education Minister Ismet Yilmaz and his Sudanese counterpart Asya Muhammed Idris inaugurated the Association of Students Graduated from Turkey.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Yilmaz said the quota reserved for Sudanese students, as part of the Turkish Scholarships program, has increased on the directives of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

At least 350 Sudanese have graduated from Turkish universities so far.
