A Turkish defense firm, Havelsan, and the Chilean Naval Forces signed a deal to supply the ADVENT Combat Management System (CMS) that will be used in the modernization process of two frigates in the Chilean Navy.
With the project, which is expected to be completed within four years, ADVENT CMS will be integrated into both frigates, and a fully compatible structure will be established with the existing systems and weapons on the ship, the Turkish firm said on Saturday.
Chile will become the ninth country to use ADVENT CMS on its platforms.
ADVENT, which entered into service with Türkiye's TCG KINALIADA corvette, is reaching an increasing area of influence in the world's seas and attracting the attention of the international market.
ADVENT is an integrated battle management system designed to meet modern warfare requirements, as a network-based operation approach, enabling naval platforms to operate together with a multi-task force architecture.
Developed in close cooperation with the Turkish Naval Forces Command, ADVENT is the first battle management system designed for the Turkish Naval Forces.
The system provides effectiveness and awareness by covering all operational processes such as threat assessment, target detection, and weapon and sensor control.
With its user-friendly interfaces, high integration capability, and software infrastructure, ADVENT offers a high-level solution in terms of security, agility, and operational capability.
