Death toll from Israeli raid on Jenin rises to 9
Palestinian Health Ministry says 100 Palestinians injured, 20 in serious condition
NEW YORK
The death toll from a raid by Israeli forces on the occupied West Bank city of Jenin has risen to nine, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Monday.
The ministry also reported 100 injuries, with 20 people in serious condition.
The Palestinian Authority decided Monday to suspend all forms of contacts and security coordination with Israel after Israeli troops raided Jenin, including its refugee camp.
Tensions have been running high across the occupied West Bank in recent months amid repeated Israeli raids into Palestinian towns.
Nearly 190 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the start of this year, according to the Health Ministry.
At least 25 Israelis have also been killed in separate attacks during the same period.
