Fatalities as Israeli jets strike 2 cars in southern Lebanon
Attack targets 2 vehicles in Shihabiya town, according to local media
ISTANBUL
Israeli fighter jets struck two cars in southern Lebanon on Tuesday amid reports of fatalities.
The attack targeted two vehicles in the town of Shihabiya, the state-run National News Agency reported.
Several people were killed and injured in the attack, the broadcaster said, without providing further details.
There was no comment yet from the Israeli army on the strike.
The attack came amid an exchange of cross-border fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah since last October amid a deadly Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip, which killed more than 33,800 people following a Hamas attack.
