Germany's foreign trade declined in 2023
Country's exports totaled $1.68T last year, Destatis says

Germany's exports and imports posted declines in 2023, the country's statistical authority revealed on Monday.
Destatis's data showed that the country's exports dropped by 1.4% to €1.56 trillion ($1.68 trillion) last year versus 2022, while imports fell by 9.7% to €1.35 trillion.
Germany's foreign trade balance saw a surplus of €209.6 billion last year.
In December alone, the country's exports totaled €125.3 billion, down by 4.6%, while imports amounted to €103.1 billion, decreasing 12.4% on a yearly basis.
