INVAMED president shares Türkiye's AI experience in cardiology at Paris event

PARIS

Rasit Dinc, the president of Türkiye’s largest medical device manufacturer INVAMED, presented locally developed artificial intelligence-backed cardiology and cardiovascular surgery solutions at the EuroPCR Congress Thursday.

Speaking to Anadolu, Dinc said they had the opportunity to introduce products made in Türkiye at the EuroPCR Congress, which is considered one of the world's largest cardiology congresses in the world.

Dinc, who is also the president of the Health Federation, pointed out that many diagnoses and treatments are now utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

“Especially with intravascular imaging systems, a camera known as an IVUS can be entered into a vein. Depending on the appearance of the vein, the equipment to be used in diagnosis and treatment can now be determined using AI.”

'Innovation for life'

“At INVAMED, our goal is always to evaluate existing products from completely different and innovative angles. 'Innovation for life' is our motto," Dinc said.

Drawing the example of global buzz around artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles, Dinc said: "In health care industry, we have started to discuss autonomous surgeries and it will progress further soon."

He added that thanks to AI and digital health, many operations can now be performed much faster, more comfortably and with predictable results.

Turkish manufacturer INVAMED has been a long-time participant at the EuroPCR Congress, where the most distinguished names in cardiovascular health from around the world come together.
