Israel says 4 anti-tank missiles launched from Lebanon

JERUSALEM

Israel said Wednesday that four anti-tank missiles were launched from Lebanon towards the town of Metula near the Lebanese border.

No injuries were reported in the attack, which caused damage to a house, the Israeli public broadcaster KAN reported.

A military statement said fighter jets struck a Hezbollah military structure, observation post, and infrastructure in the towns of Kfarchouba, Ayta ash Shab, and Khiyam in southern Lebanon.

Israeli artillery shelling was also reported in the border towns of Kfarchouba, Chebaa, Kfarhamam and Matmoura.

No information was yet available about injuries or damage.

Tensions have risen along Lebanon's border with Israel amid cross-border attacks between Lebanese group Hezbollah and Israeli forces as Tel Aviv pressed ahead with its deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip, which has killed over 37,700 people since October following an attack by the Palestinian group Hamas.
