PKK terrorists attack Peshmerga forces of autonomous Kurdish region in northern Iraq
Terrorists launched rocket attack on checkpoint of Peshmerga forces' Zerevani units in district of Amedi in Duhok

The PKK terror group attacked Peshmerga soldiers of the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq.
The official Facebook account of the KRG’s counter-terrorism unit shared a statement from the KRG Interior Ministry regarding the incident.
According to the statement, PKK terrorists carried out a rocket attack on the checkpoint of the Peshmerga forces' Zerevani units in the afternoon in the district of Duhok's Amedi.
It said that the Zerevani forces successfully defended themselves.
It added that the PKK's attempt is part of attacks aimed at “disrupting the security and stability” of the Kurdish region and that the terror group has become a “component of the regional conspiracy” against the Kurds.
The statement emphasized that the KRG has the right to defend itself.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, UK, and EU — has been responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
