Producer prices in Spain down 1.3% in August

ISTANBUL

Spain's producer inflation rate was at minus 1.3% last month, the country's statistical office Ine revealed Wednesday.

Producer price inflation decreased particularly on the energy side in August, at minus 6%, while intermediate goods’ prices posted a decline of 1.2% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, producer price inflation was at 2.3% in capital goods and 1.6% in consumer goods over the same period.

Ine also said that producer price inflation was at 1.5% on a monthly basis in August.

Energy prices posted an increase of 5.3% from July to August, while capital goods posted a slight increase of 0.2%.

Producer price inflation for consumer goods was at 0.2%, as did intermediate goods by 0.4% month-on-month.
