Russia blacklists 21 UK lawmakers over sanctions, anti-Moscow rhetoric
Foreign Ministry says move comes in the wake of hostile remarks from British parliamentarians, including calls to seize frozen Russian assets

MOSCOW
Russia announced on Wednesday it has blacklisted 21 British lawmakers in retaliation for the UK's ongoing sanctions and rhetoric against Moscow.
In an official statement, the Foreign Ministry described London's policy toward Russia as "openly confrontational," characterized by "anti-Russian hysteria," fabricated narratives, and support for Kyiv, including arms supplies.
The move, it said, comes in the wake of hostile remarks from British parliamentarians, including calls to seize frozen Russian assets in the West, which Moscow sees as undermining prospects for constructive dialogue.
"We are closely monitoring such rhetoric and drawing necessary conclusions," the ministry warned.
