WASHINGTON

The White House announced Monday that President Donald Trump is slated to soon sign a trio of executive orders meant to address several of his priorities.

Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told a briefing for what the White House calls "new media" journalists that one of Trump's orders will direct Attorney General Pam Bondi to develop a list of "sanctuary cities" that will be used to determine if the jurisdictions are breaking federal law.

If the Trump administration determines that they are, the Office of Management and Budget "is going to look at" their federal funding, she said.

A second order intends to facilitate communication between state and local and federal law enforcement agencies to facilitate communication and joint operations. The final order appears set to mandate that the Transportation Department includes English literacy tests for truckers.

"This is a big problem in the trucking community that, unless you're in that community, you might not know, but there's a lot of communication problems between truckers on the road with federal officials and local officials as well, which obviously is a safety risk," she added.

The executive orders are slated to be signed Monday at 5 pm local time (2100GMT).
