Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu, who expects to be crowned champion at the 12th and final leg of the 2024 World Superbike Championship (WSBK) in Spain this weekend, spoke Friday to Anadolu.
"No stress right now. We're totally focused on the race. We trained today. We've had a very comfortable day for that. We're trying to set up the motorbike now. If we improve the bike a bit more tomorrow, it will help us more," said the BMW Rokit rider.
"The current image is that we are ready for the race. I hope we will be first tomorrow. This is my biggest goal," he added.
If the 28-year-old can keep 37 points ahead of his closest rival, Nicolo Bulega, of Aruba Ducati, in Race 1 on Saturday, he will capture his second world championship.
He currently has 473 points, 46 points ahead of the Italian, Bulega.
The 12th and final round of the season in WorldSBK will be held Saturday and Sunday at Spain's Circuito de Jerez Circuit, which is 4,423 meters (12,5211 feet) long, including a chicane curve.
