Turkish stock exchange ends week with losses
Benchmark BIST 100 index falls 766.30 points at Friday's closing session

ISTANBUL
The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Friday at 9,044.64 points, decreasing by 7.81% from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index, starting the day at 9,758.53, gained 766.30 points from the close on Thursday.
The lowest point for the index during the day was 8,984.54, while the daily high was 9,758.53.
During the day, 97 indexes lost value while 3 closed the day with gains.
The total transaction volume reached 162.2 billion Turkish liras ($4.28 billion), while the overall value of the index was 8.12 trillion liras ($214.3 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 37.9200 as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 41.0910, and the GBP/TRY traded at 49.0125.
The price of gold was $3,014.40 per ounce, while the barrel price of Brent oil was $71.50.
