Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 4,928.63 points, an increase of 0.85%, or 41.72 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Wednesday at 4,886.91 points, losing 1.30%, with a daily trading volume of 90 billion Turkish liras ($4.33 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 20.7691 as of 09.47 a.m. local time (0647GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 22.1785 while a British pound traded for 25.8254 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $73.28 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,978.55.
