SANAA, Yemen

Two persons were killed and nine others injured in the US-UK airstrikes on Yemen’s Raymah district, the Houthi group in Yemen announced Thursday.

The US-UK aggression targeted a government complex in al-Gabin city in Raymah district, killing two people and injuring nine others, said the group leader, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, in a speech broadcast by the Houthi-affiliated al-Masirah channel.

He added: “The US and UK carried out 22 airstrikes this week in the provinces of Sanaa, al-Hudaydah, and Raymah.”

Al-Houthi did not clarify whether the victims of the bombing in Raymah were civilians or military personnel, and there was no immediate response from Washington or London as of 1645GMT.

The Houthis have been targeting ships that are Israeli-owned, flagged, operated, or headed to Israeli ports in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden with missiles and drones in solidarity with Gaza, which has been under a devastating Israeli onslaught since Oct. 7.

With the US and UK launching retaliatory airstrikes against Houthi sites inside Yemen, the Houthis declared that they consider all American and British ships military targets.
