2 Palestinians killed in drone attack targeting group of civilians at Gaza Port, while Israeli warplanes also target Salem family's home in Jabalia refugee camp of northern Gaza
GAZA CITY, Palestine
At least two Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Tuesday in brutal Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Two Palestinians were killed in a drone attack targeting a group of civilians at the Gaza Port, eyewitnesses said, adding that several injured people were transported to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital.
In another attack, Israeli warplanes targeted the Salem family's home in the west of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, Anadolu correspondent reported.
According to eyewitnesses, the attack resulted in fatalities and injuries, though the exact number is unknown.
The Israeli army laid a siege in northern Gaza last month, claiming it is trying to stop Palestinian resistance group Hamas from regrouping. Palestinians, however, accuse Israel of seeking to occupy the area and forcibly displace its residents.
More than 1,800 people have been killed since then, according to Palestinian health authorities. Food and other aid are severely limited.
Israel has continued a devastating offensive on Gaza since the Oct. 7, 2023 attacks by Hamas, killing nearly 43,400 people and rendering the enclave almost uninhabitable.
Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the blockaded enclave.
