3 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes in central Gaza Strip
11 others injured when Israel attacked civilian gathering, house in Nuseirat refugee camp
GAZA CITY, Palestine
At least three Palestinians were killed, and 11 others injured on Saturday in an Israeli airstrike and artillery shelling targeting a home and civilians in the central Gaza Strip, according to local medical sources.
Al-Awda Hospital confirmed that two people were killed and 11 others wounded when an Israeli warplane hit a house in the eastern part of the Nuseirat refugee camp.
In a separate incident, another Palestinian was killed in an artillery attack on civilians gathered on Salah al-Din Street, a main road in Gaza, the hospital added.
Israel's strikes have continued despite a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire, following a cross-border assault by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7.
More than 41,500 people, mostly women and children, have been killed, and over 96,000 injured in Gaza since the conflict began, according to local health authorities.
The ongoing Israeli offensive has displaced nearly the entire population of Gaza, exacerbating a humanitarian crisis, with severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine under a strict blockade.
Israel is also facing accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
