At least nine people, including four children, were killed in a US-Israeli strike in Tehran on Monday, Iranian media reported.
Iran’s state television said that the attack targeted two residential buildings in the Shahriar district of the capital.
The strike killed nine people and wounded four others and caused both buildings to collapse, the broadcaster said.
Earlier Monday, Iranian media reported that overnight US-Israeli strikes on Tehran and the city of Qom killed at least 34 people.
Iran has not released an official overall casualty toll from the war. However, the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reported that 3,540 people have been killed. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said Friday that at least 1,900 civilians have been killed and 20,000 others wounded.
Regional tensions have escalated since the US and Israel launched a joint offensive on Iran on Feb. 28.
Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. Iran has also restricted the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital passage for oil and gas shipments.
