Four Russian soldiers were killed in a bomb attack in Syria’s western province of Homs, the Defense Ministry said Monday.
Two others were wounded in the Feb. 16 attack, the ministry said in a statement. The soldiers were travelling in a Syrian army convoy between the Tiyas air base to Homs city when they were targeted.
Russian forces have been fighting in Syria since September 2015. Military assistance largely consists of airstrikes against opposition forces facing regime troops.
