Five Palestinians were killed Saturday in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

A statement from the Aksa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah provided to Anadolu said the attack caused significant destruction in the targeted area.

The strike also injured eight others.

Israeli attacks on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, have resulted in the deaths of 45,227 Palestinians, including 17,492 children and 11,979 women.

Additionally, 107,573 victims have been wounded.

Reports indicate that thousands of bodies remain buried under the rubble of demolished buildings, while civilian infrastructure, including hospitals and educational institutions, have been targeted and destroyed.
