9 Palestinians killed, others injured in Israeli strikes across Gaza

GAZA CITY, Palestine
At least nine Palestinians were killed and several injured Friday in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
Medical officials told Anadolu that two Palestinians were killed, and others injured when an Israeli drone struck a house in Gaza City’s Al-Zaytoun neighborhood.
In another attack, four Palestinians were killed instantly when an Israeli drone targeted a civilian gathering in Al-Karama, northwest of the Gaza Strip, said medics and witnesses.
Witnesses told Anadolu that the Israeli army killed a displaced Palestinian while trying to cross the Israeli-controlled Netzarim checkpoint that separates northern Gaza from its south.
A UN vehicle removed the body of the slain Palestinian and handed it to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah city in central Gaza, witnesses added.
The Netzarim corridor area in the south of Gaza City, which links the far eastern and western parts of the Gaza Strip, is a large area with no buildings, as the army destroyed most of the buildings in the area and established military positions across the area.
In southern Gaza, an airstrike on a group of people in eastern Rafah city killed two, according to witnesses.
Israel has continued its devastating offensive against Gaza since a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023. The onslaught has killed more than 43,700 people and rendered the enclave almost uninhabitable.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its deadly war on Gaza.
