Algeria evacuates 306 nationals from Lebanon amid Israeli aggression

ALGIERS, Algeria

Algeria evacuated on Friday 306 of its nationals from Lebanon, where Israel continues attacks since late September.

The Foreign Ministry in a statement said the evacuation operation was carried out via Cairo International Airport.

The ministry said "the evacuation of Algerian nationals was initiated according to a plan that saw their transportation from Rafic Hariri International Airport in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, to Cairo International Airport through two flights designated for this purpose."

Air Algerie was responsible for bringing the citizens back to Algeria.

The first evacuation flight was in August, which saw over 125 Algerian citizens returning home.

The ministry said it was ready to organize additional evacuations "if necessary" and hoped for de-escalation and peace in both Palestine and Lebanon.
