Algeria, Uganda sign 2 agreements, 5 MoUs

ALGIERS, Algeria
Algeria and Uganda signed two agreements and five memorandums of understanding (MoUs) Sunday to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni witnessed the signing of the deals during a ceremony at the Algerian presidency in the capital Algiers, according to Algerian state news agency APS.
It added that the agreements and MoUs are in the fields of energy, tourism, agriculture, animal health, education and scientific research.
On Saturday, the Ugandan president started an official three-day visit to Algeria, where he held talks with President Tebboune.
Algeria announced in February that it was allocating $1 billion to finance development projects in Africa.
