Another Hezbollah fighter killed in border clashes with Israel
Group identified slain fighter as Bilal Murad, 37
BEIRUT
Another Hezbollah fighter was killed in clashes with Israeli forces in southern Lebanon on Saturday, the group said.
Hezbollah identified the slain fighter as Bilal Murad, 37, from the town of Aitaroun in southern Lebanon.
At least 314 Hezbollah fighters have been killed in clashes with Israeli forces since last October, according to an Anadolu tally.
Earlier in the day, Israel launched an airstrike on a house in Aitaroun, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported, noting that there were casualties.
The exchange of fire between Hezbollah and Israel along the shared Israeli-Lebanese border has continued in parallel to the Gaza conflict, displacing thousands of people on both sides and fueling concerns of a wider escalation.
Head of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, has said that the group would continue fighting as long as Israel continued its assault on Gaza.
