Another Israeli soldier killed in Gaza brings death toll since start of ground operation to 38

JERUSALEM
The Israeli army on Friday announced the death of another soldier in battle in northern Gaza overnight.
In a statement, the Israeli army identified the soldier as Gilad Rozenblit, 21, who was killed in the northern Gaza Strip.
It added that the Israeli army death toll since the start of the fighting in Gaza on Oct. 7 rose to 354.
While Israeli public broadcaster KAN said the number of Israeli army soldiers killed since the start of the ground operation on Oct. 27 in Gaza rose to 38, Haaretz daily said on Thursday it was 39.
Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Oct. 7.
At least 10,569 Palestinians have been killed, including 4,324 children and 2,823 women. The Israeli death toll, meanwhile, is nearly 1,600, according to official figures.
