Another Lebanese soldier killed in Israeli attack in southern Lebanon, army says
Nearly 40 Lebanese soldiers killed in Israeli attacks since October 2023, according to Lebanese figures

Another Lebanese soldier died of injuries from an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon, the army said on Wednesday.
A military statement said the soldier breathed his last after the attack that targeted an army vehicle on Borj al-Moulouk-Qlayaa road in southern Lebanon.
An earlier military statement said that two soldiers had been injured in the attack before one of them died of his wounds.
The new fatality came one day after three Lebanese soldiers were killed in an Israeli strike targeting a military post in Sarafand village in southern Lebanon.
Nearly 40 Lebanese soldiers have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 2023, according to Lebanese figures.
Israel has been engaged in cross-border warfare with Lebanon, launching an air campaign against what it claims are targets of the Hezbollah group in late September.
More than 3,540 people have been killed by Israeli attacks in Lebanon, with over 15,000 injured and more than a million displaced since last October, according to Lebanese health authorities.
Tel Aviv expanded the conflict by launching a ground assault into southern Lebanon on Oct. 1.
