GAZA CITY, Palestine

Two Palestinian children were killed in a fire in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, according to the health ministry. 

In a statement, the ministry said a 5-year-old girl and her sister, 2, died in the fire that erupted at their house in the southern city of Rafah. 

Their father and another sister were injured in the blaze, the ministry said. 

A spokesman for the Civil Defense Agency earlier said that three sisters had been killed in the fire. 

The cause of the blaze remains unknown.
