Gulf bloc condemns drone attacks on Kuwaiti border posts from Iraq

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi on Saturday strongly condemned the "treacherous drone attacks" targeting Kuwait's border posts originating from Iraq.

In a statement, Albudaiwi noted that "the continuation of these brutal attacks from Iraq constitutes a flagrant violation of the principles of good neighbourliness and all international laws and norms."

He expressed the bloc's full solidarity with Kuwait, "affirming absolute support for all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability."
