Armed groups opened fire Friday on internal security posts and homes in the Mazraa area of western Suwayda province in southern Syria, according to Alikhbariah TV.
The broadcaster described the assailants as “outlaws” and said there was no immediate information about casualties or the extent of damage.
The Syrian Interior Ministry has yet to issue a statement on the incident.
The attacks came about a month after four security personnel were injured on Aug. 31 while responding to attacks that authorities said were carried out by “outlaw groups” in the western Suwayda countryside.
