Hamas' armed wing says it hit 25 Israeli military vehicles in last 48 hours
Al-Qassam Brigades releases video showing fighters hitting Israeli tanks in North Gaza
GAZA CITY, Palestine
The Hamas group's military wing said Saturday that its fighters have hit 25 Israeli military vehicles in the last 48 hours in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obeida said in a recorded message that since the start of an Israeli ground operation in Gaza on Oct. 27, fighters "destroyed more than 160 Israeli military vehicles whether totally or partially" including 25 in the past 48 hours.
Abu Obeida noted that the battle between Palestinian fighters and the Israeli army is asymmetrical, but still frightens the Israeli army, who described it as the strongest army in the region.
"Our fighters come out of the ground and above, and from under the rubble to destroy armored vehicles and tanks," he said.
Al-Qassam Brigades then released a video showing fighters hitting several Israeli tanks in North Gaza.
Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip -- including hospitals, residences, and houses of worship -- since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Oct. 7.
At least 11,078 Palestinians have been killed, including 4,506 children and 3,027 women.
The Israeli death toll is nearly 1,200, according to official figures.
