JERUSALEM / ANKARA

An illegal Israeli settler was injured in a suspected car-ramming attack in the occupied West Bank on Monday, Israeli media said.

The public broadcaster KAN said the incident occurred near Dhahiriya Junction in southern Hebron city in the southern West Bank.

The Israeli army launched a manhunt for the driver, who fled the scene.

No details were yet available on whether any group was behind the incident.

Nearly 950 Palestinians have been killed and over 7,000 others injured in the occupied West Bank since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza in October 2023, according to Palestinian figures.

In July 2024, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian land illegal and demanded the evacuation of all existing settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
