The Democratic National Convention’s (DNC) platform for 2024 highlights the central role of Israel in US foreign policy under the Biden administration, mentioning it 29 times throughout the 92-page document.

The platform emphasizes the US administration's commitment to securing Israel’s future while working toward peace in the Middle East, even as regional tensions continue to escalate.

"President (Joe) Biden and Vice President (Kamala) Harris believe a strong, secure and democratic Israel is vital to the interests of the United States. Their commitment to Israel’s security, its qualitative military edge, its right to defend itself, and the 2016 Memorandum of Understanding is ironclad," it says.

It notes that Biden "has spent decades working to advance U.S. interests and values in the Middle East" and continues to work closely with regional leaders "to de-escalate conflicts, deter aggression and forge new ways to promote stability, prosperity, human security and peace."
