Army says Sinwar possibly killed in joint operation with Shin Bet security service
JERUSALEM
The Israeli army said Thursday it is checking the possible killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in a military operation in the Gaza Strip.
A military statement said three Palestinians were killed during a joint operation by the army and the Shin Bet security service.
We are "checking the possibility that" one of them was Yahya Sinwar, it added, without providing further details.
