Israeli army vehicle rams and kills Palestinian man in West Bank
Vehicle hits Fathi Ahmad Salah, who was riding a motorcycle

RAMALLAH, Palestine
An Israeli army vehicle fatally struck a Palestinian man Monday evening in the city of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, said authorities.
The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the victim as 32-year-old Fathi Ahmad Salah.
According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the incident occurred near the Al Dakhiliyeh Roundabout when the vehicle rammed into Salah, who was riding a motorcycle.
The collision left him with severe injuries and he was rushed to Ibn Sina Hospital, where medical staff later pronounced him dead, WAFA reported.
The incident came as the Israeli army has continued a deadly military offensive in the northern West Bank, killing at least 65 Palestinians and displacing thousands since Jan. 21.
Tension has been running high across the West Bank, where at least 930 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 7,000 injured in attacks by the Israeli army and illegal settlers since the start of the onslaught on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
In July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s longstanding occupation of Palestinian territories illegal, calling for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
