A Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli forces on Tuesday in an alleged car-ramming attack in the occupied West Bank, according to Israeli media.
Haaretz newspaper said Israeli forces opened fire on a Palestinian near the Einav settlement for allegedly trying to ram his car into Israeli soldiers.
The car reportedly caught fire, but the reasons were not yet clear.
In a statement, the Israeli army said its forces "neutralized" a Palestinian near the Einav settlement, adding that no injuries were reported among Israeli forces.
In recent years, Israeli forces opened fire on several Palestinians at Israeli-controlled checkpoints across the occupied West Bank for allegedly attempting to attack Israeli soldiers.
Several Palestinian and Israeli rights groups denied Israeli army claims and said Palestinians were shot without posing any threat.
