Kuwait’s Health Ministry said early Monday that debris and shrapnel had fallen in a residential area in the north of the country following what it described as an “unjust Iranian attack,” injuring six people.
Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah al-Sanad said the central operations room received reports at dawn of falling projectiles and fragments in the area, Kuwait News Agency reported.
Emergency medical teams and ambulance services responded immediately, treating six injuries ranging from minor wounds to temporary hearing effects caused by loud blasts, as well as fall-related injuries linked to the explosion, he added.
All patients received necessary medical care in line with approved protocols and remain in stable condition, with no serious complications reported, he said.
Regional tensions have escalated since the US and Israel launched a joint offensive on Iran on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,340 people to date, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. Iran has also restricted the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
