Emir admitted to hospital for tests and to get necessary treatment, says top Cabinet minister on condition of Gulf state ruler

ISTANBUL

Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah was hospitalized on Wednesday for an “emergency health issue,” reported state news agency KUNA, adding that his condition is stable.

Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the minister of Emiri Diwan affairs, said Al-Sabah, 86, was admitted to the hospital this morning due to emergency health problems to take medical tests and get the necessary treatment.

He gave no further details on the nature of the Gulf state ruler’s health problem.

He also confirmed that his condition is stable.
