RAMALLAH, Palestine
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced late Monday that two Palestinians have been killed by Israeli army gunfire in the Tulkarm refugee camp in the West Bank, bringing the total number of deaths in the occupied territory since Oct. 7 to 190.
The ministry said “the young man Mahmoud Haddaida, 25, succumbed to his critical injury from Israeli occupation gunfire this evening during the attack on Tulkarm.”
In a later statement, it was announced that “the young man Hazem Hasri, 28, was killed after being shot in the chest by the Israeli occupation forces during the attack on Tulkarm.”
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that Israeli special forces entered the Tulkarm camp, while Israeli snipers were positioned on the roofs of some buildings.
According to witnesses, clashes broke out between the invading forces and Palestinian militants inside the camp. Activists on social media circulated videos in which gunfire could be heard.
