SANLIURFA, Turkey

Saddam Hussein’s bodyguard, who moved to Turkey’s southeastern province of Sanliurfa after the Iraqi leader’s execution, was found dead, security sources said on Wednesday.

Adnan Jerri Shmail, 68, was found dead by his relatives in his house located in Veysel Karani Neighborhood in Sanliurfa, said the source on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

Shmail’s body was taken to the forensic institute to determine the cause of his death.

He and his family moved to Turkey after the late Iraqi leader was executed in 2006.
