An 18-year-old activist in Istanbul, Türkiye, distributed watermelon slices to people in front of a fast food restaurant that is said to support Israel.
Watermelon slices, which have become an international symbol, symbolize the Palestinian flag because of their color.
Mina Kahraman sat on the ground in front of the restaurant, offering customers and passersby watermelon slices as a protest of the company's support for Israel.
"Sometimes a slice of watermelon reminds us of the resistance," Kahraman said while posting the video on X on Tuesday.
The protest of the young activist has captured the attention of social media users.
