Temporary malfunction disrupts Ben Gurion Airport in Israel
Israeli social media activists cite possibility of cyberattack that caused website's disruption
JERUSALEM
The official website of the Israeli Ben Gurion International Airport went down Friday because of a temporary malfunction, according to media reports.
The Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said Israel's main airport faced a temporary malfunction, without knowing the reason.
The newspaper cited a source at the airport who said flights through the airport are still on schedule.
The airport authority in a statement referred the malfunction to the pressure of visitors on the website.
Israeli social media activists pointed to the possibility of a cyberattack that caused the disruption.
