Toppled Syrian regime forces ambushed transitional government troops at Latakia

​​​​​​​LATAKIA, Syria

Three people were killed and another wounded Saturday in an ambush by forces of the ousted Assad regime against interim government forces I Latakia province in Syria, according to security forces.​​​​​​​

Interim government forces conducting security sweeps in the province, which is known as the stronghold of the ousted Bashar al-Assad family for years, were attacked in the Jabla district.

Interim government forces sent reinforcements to the region to find the attackers.
