ISTANBUL

A powerful new documentary titled Holy Redemption is set to premiere on Saturday, shedding light on the brutality suffered by Palestinians in the West Bank at the hands of illegal Israeli settlers.

Produced by TRT World, Türkiye’s national broadcaster, the documentary aims to draw global attention to what it describes as the "Gaza Genocide," which has escalated over the past 10 months as a result of Israel's longstanding blockade.

Filmed by TRT World crews on the ground in the occupied Palestinian territories, will have a special screening on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Atlas Cinema in Istanbul.

The documentary promises to be a hard-hitting account of the violence perpetrated by illegal Israeli settlers, which the UN and much of the international community also consider illegal.

Through a series of harrowing testimonies and shocking footage, the documentary will offer viewers an unfiltered look at the lives of Palestinians in the West Bank. It captures the violence and suffering inflicted by illegal Israeli settlers on Palestinian communities, providing a platform for both witnesses and perpetrators to tell their stories.

Groundbreaking investigation by TRT World

The filmmaking of Holy Redemption was no small feat. The TRT World research team encountered significant challenges as they infiltrated radical Israeli groups in the West Bank just two months after the "Gaza Genocide" began on Oct. 7 of last year.

Their journey into the heart of these extremist communities reveals a side of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that is rarely covered by mainstream media.

The documentary includes footage from inside the outposts where the Hilltop Youth, a radical group sometimes referred to even in Israeli media as "Israel’s Deash/ISIS," are trained. These young illegal Israeli settlers are well-known for their violent actions against Palestinians and their role in expanding illegal settlements across the West Bank.

The documentary also delves into Israel's strategies of displacement and land theft, highlighting how illegal settlements are established and Palestinian homes are systematically destroyed. These narratives are supported by firsthand accounts and rare footage that bring the harsh realities of life in the occupied territories into sharp focus.

With its in-depth reporting and raw storytelling, Holy Redemption is poised to make a significant impact on the global conversation surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

TRT's commitment to exposing these stories aligns with its broader mission to bring attention to the suffering of the Palestinian people and to challenge the international community to take action.
