JERUSALEM
Reporting by Taner Aydın
Excavation work conducted by Israel around the Al-Aqsa Mosque brings the Palestinians and the Israeli administration face to face at times.
The Palestinian administration said that the Al-Aqsa Mosque was facing the danger of collapsing down as its bottom was dug.
Israel denies reports about the existence of tunnels and says the excavation works continue in a region parallel to the Wailing Wall.
Israel argues that there is no other tunnel around the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
An Anadolu Agency (AA) correspondent was able to take photograph of a tunnel by the Wailing Wall with special permission and being escorted by an Israeli archeologist.
The Jews believe that there is an entrance door and stairs to the shrine of Prophet Solomon at the area where the excavation works continue.
