DAMASCUS
A total of 70 people were killed in several cities of Syria on Tuesday during operations staged by forces loyal to the Syrian regime, activists said.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, said that Assad forces killed 25 in the suburbs of capital Damascus, 20 in Aleppo, 6 each in Homs and Dera'a, 4 in Deir al-Zor, 3 in Hama, two each in Quneitra and Idlib and one each in Raqqah and Latakia in air and land offensives.
Meanwhile, Syria Local Coordination Committee (LCC) said fierce clashes were taking place in Salahaddin region of Aleppo city and jet planes were bombing residential areas near the Minnigh military base.
Moreover, Syria's state news agency, SANA regime forces made major gains against rebels across the country.
