‘Poland attaches great importance to cooperation with Türkiye especially in field of trade, investment,’ economic development minister says
WARSAW
The defense industry will be of great importance among potential areas of cooperation between Poland and Türkiye, the Polish economic development and technology minister said on Wednesday.
Speaking to the Polish news agency PAP, Waldemar Buda said that the war in Ukraine, relevant EU sanctions on Russia and Belarus, as well as a sharp increase in the cost of commodity transportation between China and Europe gave a new impetus to Polish-Turkish relations.
“Poland attaches great importance to cooperation with Turkey, an important partner, especially in the field of trade and investment,” Buda said.
Pointing out that they have set a common goal to reach a bilateral trade volume of €10 billion ($10 billion), Buda said, "Everything shows that we will reach this target already this year."
Waldemar Buda will visit Türkiye on Monday to attend the fifth regular consultation meeting.
